FERROUS MATERIAL

500 lb or more (full price)   Under 500lbs (half price)

  • Misc Iron (Farm machinery, appliances compressors separate], tin, cast, etc.)
  • Prepared Iron (3ft x 18 in or shorter, 1/8 inch or thicker, not cast iron)
  • #1 Prepared Plate and Structural (Consists of I-Beams & Plate steel, 3ft long x 18 in wide x 18 in tall or shorter, ¼ in or thicker)

NON-FERROUS MATERIAL

COPPER

Bare Bright Copper
Shiny bare, uncoated, unalloyed copper wire. Nothing attached- no solder, paint, or corrosion

#1 Copper Wire
Bare or burnt wire, uncoated, unalloyed and free of solder, paint, & heavy corrosion. Usually pencil lead thickness or better.

#1 Copper Tube
Uncoated, unalloyed copper tubing free of solder, paint, & heavy corrosion. Some discoloration is allowed

#2 Copper Wire
Bare or burnt Non- insulated thinner wire. No heavy ash.

#2 Copper Tube
Copper tubing with solder joints and some paint. No brass allowed.

Sheet Copper
Sheets of copper, gutters, or downspouts

Insulated Coppers
Based on recovery.

BRASS

Red Brass
Usually consists of valves, machinery bearings, and other machine parts. Reddish tint in color.

Yellow Brass
Yellow tint in color

Auto Radiators
No Iron fins

Brass Shells
No live rounds

ALUMINUM

Alum Cans
Used beverage containers. Alum bottles okay. No pet food containers.

Aluminum Radiators
Free of iron and foreign material

ACR
Aluminum Copper Radiators- no steel, plastic, or other foreign matter

6063 Aluminum Ext
No thermal break, iron, zinc corners, dirt, paper, cardboard or other contamination. Must be 4’ in length or shorter for board price.

Painted 6063 Ext
Same as 6063 but painted

6061 Aluminum Ext
No thermal break, iron, zinc corners, dirt, paper, cardboard, or other contamination. Must be 4’ in length or shorter for board price.

Painted 6061 Ext
Same as 6061 but painted

Painted Aluminum Siding
Clean aluminum siding. Free of plastic coating, iron, fiber, foam, or fiberglass backing, caulk, and putty

Old Sheet Aluminum
Miscellaneous Aluminum

Cast Aluminum
2% steel allowance. Usually consists of auto parts.

Aluminum Clips
Low copper aluminum clips

Clean Aluminum Car Wheels
Not chrome plated. All valves and stems removed. No steel attached or inserts. No semi-truck rims

ACSR Wire
Aluminum wire with steel reinforcement and/or insulated

EC Wire
Clean aluminum wire.

LEAD

Lead
Clean lead

Auto Batteries
Lead acid intact. Automotive, Marine, Lawnmower

Industrial Batteries
Bought as steel case due to size. Bus, Diesel, Large golfcarts

Steel Case Batteries
Large batteries wrapped in a steel case. Forklift batteries.

STAINLESS

316 Stainless
Mill marked material

304 Stainless
18/8 stainless solids containing a minimum 7% nickel, 16% chrome, max .045% phosphaurous & .03% sulfur. Free of all contaminants

301 Stainless
300 series, no foreign attachments

201 Stainless
Max .5% copper. Free of all foreign attachments

430 Stainless
Will stick to a magnet.

ELECTRIC MOTORS

Must be copper wound. No excess steel attached, such as reducers, iron bases, and pumps. No cast iron

SEALED UNITS

Consists of whole steel cased compressors originating from condensers on air conditioners, freezers, refrigerators, & dehumidifiers. Must be free of all hazardous materials

BALLAST

Must be labeled “No PCB’s”. Will take electronic ballast but will not pay for.

ELECTRONIC SCRAP

Whole, Complete towers. Whole, Complete laptops. (No monitors). Call if dismantle towers.

ACCEEPTABLE MATERIAL IF PREPARED CORRECTLY

  • Compressed Gas Cylinders, propane or oxygen tanks, or bottles with the valve removed and the tank or bottle cut in half
  • Barrels, drums, pails, and buckets rinsed, dried, and the lid removed
  • Sealed units that have been properly evacuated
  • Freon Bottles – Properly evacuated and cut in half
  • Augers/Grain Conveyors – Cut into pieces 30ft or under

SCRAP VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Vehicle Must have the title matching the VIN
  • Battery removed (take to the warehouse)
  • ALL Fluids drained
  • Gas tank removed AND cut in half or a 12in x 12in hole cut in it
  • NO Tires – Don’t forget the one in the trunk or underneath!
  • The vehicle CAN NOT be driven into the facility
  • Must have your own tools to remove tires if still attached

We DO NOT ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING:

  • Materials containing refrigerants
  • Asbestos
  • Mercury
  • Containers with free flowing liquids inside or outside (tar, oil, gasoline, paint, propane, water, etc)
  • Light fixtures with ballasts, neon signs, or fluorescent light bulbs
  • Radio Active Material
  • Brown Goods (TV, Radio, Monitors, Printers, Fax Machines & other electronics)
  • Closed containers of any kind
  • Explosive materials
  • Plastics, Dirt, Wood, or other Debris
  • Beer Kegs (unless authorized agent)
